Sinds 1982 ben ik geboeid door de mogelijkheden die de traditionele etstechnieken mij als grafisch kunstenaar te bieden hebben.
Om mijn indrukken of verhalen uit te beelden, maak ik gebruik van verschillende technieken, zoals de lijnets met zijn arceringen, de aquatinten, maar ook technieken zoals de vernis mou.

Since 1982 I am fascinated by the possibilities that traditional etching techniques have to offer me as a graphic artist.
In order to depict my impressions or stories, I use various techniques, such as the line etching with its hatching technique, the aquatint, but also a technique such as the soft-ground etching

Het meest aansprekende bij deze techniek is de praktisch rasterloze fijnheid, de enorme beelddiepte, de zeer hoge scherpte en detaillering alsmede de enorme vrijheid in diepe kleuren met zachte overgangen.
De pigmentdrukken hebben een fluweelzachte uitstraling. Mijn prenten worden gedrukt op zuivere alpha-cellulose, wit Hahnemühle papier van 310 g/m².

What appeals to me most about this technique is the practically unattended fineness, the enormous image depth, the very high sharpness and detailing as well as the great freedom in deep colors with soft transitions. The pigment prints have a velvety appearance.
My prints are printed on pure alpha-cellulose, white Hahnemühle paper of 310 g / m².

Fotomanipulatie is een bewerkingsproces, gebruikt bij het produceren van foto-illustraties, waarbij de inhoud, de feitelijke informatie of de boodschap van het beeld kan worden gemanipuleerd.
Door het samenvoegen van elementen uit verschillende foto's wordt een nieuw beeld gecreëerd . Veelal wordt dit een beeld met surrrealistische kenmerken.

Photo manipulation is an editing process used in the production of photo illustrations, in which the content, the actual information or the message of the image can be manipulated.
By combining elements from different photos, a new image is created. This is often a surreal image.
